Museum and Archeological Park

    The Civic Museum for the Preistoria of the Cetona , instituted in 1990, documents most ancient is made of the human popolamento in       the territory that gravita around the one of the Cetona Mountain, to leave from the medium Paleolitico (50,000 years from today) until the Age of the Bronze  (4,000 years from today).     

The Museum, organized in didactic shape, continues in the naturalistic Park archaeological of Belverde, where it is possible to visit great part of the situated ones from which the ritrovamenti exposed in the Museum and the Archeodromo di Belverde come

In a space to the open, adequately equipped, it comes used like didactic laboratory.

At the moment it comprises:

- the reconstruction of a riferibile inhabited area to the age of the bronze

- a natural cavity in which a paleolitico encampment is prepared

- a destined field to the simulation of activity of archaeological digging, connects to you from a route in the forest that touches some of the more evocative and panoramic points of the entire territory. 

The turn of the Archaeological Park, begins from the Office Services of the naturalistic archaeological Park of Belverde, where in its inside they are present a classroom for didactic activity, one room with video, a point information, pause and ristoro for the visitors..

For the schools the visit guided to the Museum is previewed, to the Park and the Archeodromo, comprised in the cost of the income ticket.
Upon request for schools and groups they come carries out thematic laboratories to you us, activity of experimentation, simulation and animation with operating specializes to you.
The access to all the spaces of the Museum is possible to the disabili.
