Path: when going out of P. Garibaldi, turn to the left, drive along S.S. 326.  

Founded on a spur of Mount Cetona, Sarteano offers a lot of Etruscan evidences, such as the necropolis. The Chiesa di S. Francesco contains 14th century frescoes, the Chiesa di S. Martino contains the Annunciazione (1552), masterpiece of the Senese mannered painter Domenico Beccafumi. The springs of the Bagno Santo gives running water at 24° C to three swimming pools: they were well known also in the ancient times. A visit must be paid to the medieval suburb Castiglioncello sul Trinoro, wonderful viewpoint over Mount Amiata and Val d'Orcia.
