VAL D'ORCIA-MONTE AMIATA
Path: 1st choice: when going out of P. Garibaldi, turn left, Sarteano, turn left towards Radicofani, go to S.S.n.2 Cassia, turn right towards S. Quirico d'Orcia;   The Val d'Orcia is a land far from the modern chaos: it is luckily far from both the railway and the motor way. It is the world of the "crete" (clay), of the gentle Senese hills, crowned by "casali" (farms) and       crossed by long rows of cypresses. The Via Cassia runs accross the valley (the old Cassia corresponded to the "Via Francigena", one of the medieval "vie Romee" which led the pilgrims to Rome).choice: when going out of P. Garibaldi, turn to the left, cross Sarteano towards Chianciano, before Chianciano turn to the left towards "Foce", at "La Vittoria" turn to the right towards Bagno Vignoni (follow the road signs)..2nd                                       km 60 (max)
